A boutique macaron retail based out of a socially disadvantaged area in Seattle. The owner has a deep desire to expand the operations so he can provide more opportunities to his team and the community.

approach

Humbition started by understanding the macaron market in the Seattle area and studying potential differentiation intensively. In parallel, we worked closely with the owner on operational benchmarking to ensure the business becomes more profitable as it expands. The branding strategy moved from retail & wholesale orientation to premium product & brand.

Moreover, we planned to scale up production with a new facility and ideated with the owner on new channels & segments to target (wineries, restaurants, airlines, etc.) and introduced him to new prospects for potential pilots and partnerships.
